How Venture Capital Can Make Outsized Returns While Doing Good

Along with our co-convenor and host, Born Global Ventures, we are proud to present Aihui Ong, General Partner of Transform Capital, a VC fund with a philanthropic difference. 

Aihui (pronounced i-we) was born and raised in Singpore and moved to Silicon Valley in 1999 to embark on her software engineering career. In her 20 years in the U.S., her career spanned from engineering to entrepreneurship to venture capital.   

Prior to joining Transform Capital, she has built, launched, and ran multiple highly successful, technology-based businesses, including one of INC Top 10 fastest-growing, female-led companies in America, EdgiLife, which successfully exited in 2018.   

Transform Capital is a traditional VC fund with a non-traditional way of giving back. We are building a movement to inspire philanthropy in venture capital. We invest in growth-stage startups and donate 50% of General Partners' profits to causes our portfolio founders and LPs care about WITHOUT sacrificing LPs’ profits.
