About the event
There's a gold rush on, and for good reason. Large language models have captured the imaginations of consumers and corporations alike. Everyone is demanding a curated version of ChatGPT for their use case. Startups materialize to offer solutions. What's making this possible, what differentiates the startups, and where is this all headed?Â
- We'll start with a brief history of the technology that led to the tools that are wowing the world.Â
- Without getting technical, we'll build an intuition for how the AI actually works to explain, summarize, predict, and reference.Â
- We'll explore how startups leverage AI tools to develop bespoke solutions.Â
- We'll discuss what this means for startup investing and for the startup world.
Expect this to be moderately interactive throughout, with plenty of room for discussion towards the end. Note that while you'll be seeing a lot of code, the purpose isn't to learn it thoroughly but to demistify it. You'll leave with a strong understanding of the context for this trend, for the tools and their dependencies that define the state of the art, and with the capacity to develop informed criteria for related investment.Â
Note that nothing covered in this course is invetment advice or should be interpreted as such.Â
Alec Walker will run this webinar. He's a Stanford GSB graduate. He's been involved in a few AI startups. He teaches AI, he helps big companies with AI strategy and implementation, and he helps to run Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs Texas Chapter.
